ROCK 'N' ROLL

Wednesday 03 May to Wednesday 31 May, 2023

Private View: Thursday 04 May | 6:30pm - 9:30pm

Box Galleries is delighted to present Rock 'n' Roll running from May 3rd - May 31st 2023, with a Champagne Private View on Thursday 4th May 6.30-9.30pm. Box will be showcasing a brand new collection of photography by Baron Wolman, Ed Caraeff, Bill Wyman and Gered Mankowitz as well as hand picked Rock n Roll badges by TapeDeck and patriotic neons on vintage flags by Illuminati.

Bob Dylan famously sang The Times They are a Changing, however, the essence of Rock and Rebellion still reverberates throughout Chelsea today.

Famed as the birthplace of the swinging 60's and later the Punk movement, Chelsea will always be known for its Rock and Roll history, so it seemed only right that we pay homage to the musical icons who turned their backs on convention and chose a unique path, blazing a trail that to this day still burns brightly.

Famous former residents of Chelsea include Sir Mick Jagger, Ronnie Wood, Keith Richards, Freddie Mercury, Eric Clapton, Bob Marley, Mick Fleetwood, and Syd Barrett. Even the Beatles chose to stay along the King's Road, each time there were in London to perform.

Rock 'n' Roll promises to feature iconic photography of legends such as Jimi Hendrix, Elton John, Jimi Page, The Rolling Stones, and The Beatles as well as Rock inspired artwork by some of our most collectible artists, including large scale mixed media badges and neons.
